Visiting Clitheroe for Grandsons wedding. Room 4 ground floor. We arrived about 12.30pm, as we had a good journey up the M6, we were due to book in between 3pm & 4pm but us arriving early wasn't a problem ... our room was ready. We were able to unpack, have a coffee & tea and relax before going to Billington to meet the rest of the family. We chose to pay the extra and have the full English on the Sunday morning, Room was spotless. Staff were friendly. We would recommend it to friends & family. There is also a hairdressers (Sedgwicks at Brockhall) just a few yards from the hotel which was very handy.

Staff where really friendly and greeted with a very cheerful hello. Room was light and airy and the shower although slightly older style was definitely a power shower with plenty of hot water. A great way to wake up. The breakfast was excellent and the cook was super cheerful and really welcoming in the morning, she was a real credit to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. My partner is gluten intolerant and she made sure to have options available and knew straight away as soon as we gave our room number, no remining needed.

The location was ideal for our needs - we stayed over as we attended a family wedding about 1.5 miles away at another hotel. It's also tucked just inside the entrance to a gated community. Hotel was clean, carpet in the room was nice underfoot, and the shower was quite powerful. The bed and sofa were comfy. The cooked breakfast was about £10 extra per person but it was worth it - nicely cooked and presented. The chef was very also very chirpy and friendly. Note that the cooked breakfast option is only available on the weekends.

What I was impressed about is they did find us a room that we could get changed but not our room. So, then they put us in a suit room, took the extra charge off, later on that night everything was fine from room, breakfast, staff very good and would stay there again, also is situated in a great place easy to get to different area's of Clitheroe.

Really lovely setting and location. Rooms were basic but very clean and tidy. Staff were really lovely and helpful. Breakfast was a massive 10/10 for us, really really lovely food. We also really liked the fact that vending machines were on hand in various places around the hotel to allow us to get snacks/drinks when needed.
